The safety of our students is a priority for our school. Some of the new recreation changes directly affect our students as it relates to Afterschool care. Last year, students often utilized the FLC until parents could pick them up from school. That may not be an option for this year. Please note some of the items below as it relates to Afterschool care.
- Memberships available for HGBC members and staff, school staff, and staff families only
- Students 14 & older, who are church members, are able purchase a FLC membership
- You must be 18 years of age and older to bring a guest to the FLC
- Students in the FLC after school, who do not possess a membership, will be sent to the Afterschool Program (Parents responsible for the Afterschool Program charges)
In light of the changes in our culture and in an effort to ensure maximum safety, Hickory Grove has made the decision to provide Family Life Center access to church members, church and school employees, and their families only.
This adjustment in FLC access will begin on Monday, August 15, which coincides with the start of a new school year. For those affected individuals who have paid in advance, refunds will be issued on a prorated basis.
