Gift Card Baskets for Silent Auction

Silent Auction and Dinner - Saturday, November 5, 2016

Gift Baskets

Hickory Grove Christian School will be having their annual Silent Auction and Dinner on Saturday, November 5th, 2016.  We are asking our HGCS families to join us in helping to support HGCS Academics, Athletics, and Fine Arts by creating baskets from each grade as an auction item.  Last year we had abundant contributions to the baskets and they were a great success!  Please consider sending in an item(s) for your child's grade basket.  Each grade has been assigned a specific theme and a sign up list has been provided for specific needs.  All contributions can be given to the Elementary, Middle and High School Administrative Assistants by Thursday, October 13th.  Thank you!

Announcements for the Week of September 26, 2016

From RenWeb

Effective November 1, 2016, RenWeb will no longer support Windows XP and Vista operating systems.

What does this mean for you? A computer running Windows XP or Windows Vista will not be able to access any RenWeb product including RenWeb Desktop, RenWeb 1, Donor Connect, etc.

Why the change? Renweb is taking this step due to vulnerabilities found in the TLS 1.0 security protocol. And, unfortunately, Windows XP and Vista will not support protocols above TLS 1.0. Microsoft discontinued mainstream support for both Windows XP and Windows Vista and will not be releasing a fix to enable TLS beyond 1.0 in either operating system (source).

We care about the security of our customers and their data. We understand this change will be inconvenient, but the risks of TLS 1.0 vulnerability are real. We encourage you to call us at 866-800-6593 with your questions and concerns.

Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF) Meeting

Tuesday, September 20 7:45 AM

As we begin the 2016/2017 school year, we would like to introduce the Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF) to all HGCS parents.  The PTF is a supporting organization of the school and is open to all parents with a child enrolled at HGCS in TK-12th grade.  We use the term "fellowship" as we are a community of Christians working together to benefit our students, teachers, and staff to know Christ and to make Him known through Christian education. Our goal is to provide greater opportunities for parents to become involved, parent-teacher communication to support the education of our children, and for HGCS to connect with the families it serves.

Parent Teacher Fellowship Team (PTF) Kickoff Meeting
When:  Tuesday, September 20, 7:45 am right after carline
Location:  Room 1113 (Welcome Center classroom)

We invite all parents, Elementary, Middle and High School to hear more about the HGCS Parent Team and how you can serve our Faculty, Staff and Students for the 2016/2017 School year.
