HGCS Golf Tournament



On April 30, 2018, HGCS will hold our 19th Annual Golf Tournament at Pine Lake Country Club in Charlotte, NC. Over the years, this golf tournament has proven to be one of the most profitable fundraisers for our school. This year the AAA Booster Club has set a goal of $30,000.

Funds from this year's tournament will be used primarily to fund projects such as additional Promethean Boards, a greenhouse for the Aquaponics science lab and for a future purchase of a new video scoreboard in the gym.

We hope you would consider participating or donating to this worthwhile event. There are multiple sponsorship opportunities available for individuals and businesses starting at the $150 level all the way up to $5,000.

Venture Club Ski Trip


HGCS Venture Club invites all HGCS families to their next trip to Appalachian Ski Resort on Friday, March 2, 2018.

Arrival Time: TBD (required to be processed as a group)
Cost: $23 skiing or $28 for snowboarding

  • Your admission includes ski equipment rental, lift ticket, and a 1-hour group lesson (the lesson is optional, but a great deal if you have never skied before)
  • There is a restaurant in the lodge with a variety of menu options. The lodge will allow you to bring outside food in.
  • Dress warm, in layers, waterproof gloves, thick socks, and a warm hat
  • There is NO BUS TRANSPORTATION for this trip. Each student has to provide their own way to and from the ski resort.
  • Waivers will be signed upon arrival
  • Deadline to sign up and pay is Tuesday, February 20th (checks made payable to "HGCS")
