High School Curriculum Night

Parents,

Please join us on Thursday 1/26 at 5:30 for High School Curriculum Night for second semester classes. Curriculum Night is open to all parents with students in grades 9-12.

During Curriculum Night you will follow your student’s  second semester schedule and spend approximately twenty minutes in each of his/her classes.  During that time teachers will talk specifically about their curriculum, expectations, procedures, and other class related items.  This will also be a great time for you to ask questions as well.

Please bring a copy of your student’s schedule with you on Thursday.  At 5:30 pm please report to the 1B class.  Once in this session teachers will explain how you are to proceed through the rest of the schedule.

We look forward to sharing this time with you and hope to see you Thursday.

In His Service,
Wanda Royal
High School Principal

Parenthood and the Gospel

Sunday, January 29, 2017
4:30–6:30 PM in the HGBC Worship Center, North Campus
Deuteronomy 6:4–9

“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.”

The challenges the next generation face are immense. The staff of Hickory Grove Baptist Church is committed to equip the church body with a biblical perspective on parenthood and give gospel-centered principles in passing the torch to the next generation.

So, whether you are a parent of a young child or teenager, or you are getting ready to start a family or even looking at the possibilities of being a parent down the road, join Pastor Clint Pressley and our pastors as they provide practical knowledge and tools that are essential in dealing with some of the biggest challenges parents face in our world today.

Topics will include digital media, conflict resolution, and family worship and discipleship.
This event is free. Limited childcare will be provided.

Registration for the evening and for childcare is required.
